Danielle Grace

Thursday, March 17th, 2011

There really is nothing like photographing a newborn. In all their tiny-ness.  Danielle was born March 8th, to the super awesome, Mike & Angela. You have to admit, she is adorable! Makes me excited for number three!!

The Rodenburgh Family

Thursday, February 10th, 2011

When I was first starting wedding photography, Mike and Angela took a chance on me, and hired me to be their photographer. Dang, I remember how nervous I was. The sweating. The frequent bathroom trips… TMI?? My apologies. Thankfully, the pre-wedding jitters has died down, and I no longer frequent the facilities at an alarming rate.

Angela & Mike asked me to come take Maternity/Family photos and of course, I was thrilled! Not only because I think they’re great (which they totally are), but because it was the perfect excuse to spend a sunny Sunday afternoon in Vancouver. We did some shots of Angela with a little less clothing that turned out super gorgeous… but those I’ll let her show to whomever she chooses.

Enjoy!

The Rathnam’s

Friday, December 17th, 2010

My sister and I are little crazy together! I wonder if all sisters are. I would tell stories… but I wouldn’t want to deter you from reading my posts.

I must say, I don’t miss the Christmas cards that have the whole family in matching plaid. With the dog dressed as Santa’s helper. Families are getting on the creative band wagon – and that makes me a happy girl! My sister, Denise, wanted the same for their Christmas Card (thata girl!).  So I headed down to the Stables and we got ‘er done. Dee, your family is gorgeous. It was an absolute pleasure!

John, Saskia, & Amara

Saturday, December 11th, 2010

I took a cycling class on Wednesday. I was ready to get off my bike within the first 5 mintues, and looking back, I should have went with my instincts. But no, I endured another 40 mintues of pure torture. The I’m-not-sure-if-I’m-going-to-vomit-or-fall-off-this-bike kind of pain. So here I am, 3 days post workout from hell, trying to type on my laptop while only having a fraction of my rear on the couch, and my legs straight out (’cause bending those legs just ain’t gonna happen). I should have known better. Everyone in the class had a nice body and that should have been a sign to walk out and WALK OUT NOW! Go back to the No Sweat class where most of the people are a little more…. shall we say, cushioned?? Well, live and learn, right?

Luckily, I had my photo session with Teresa’s kids before my cycling class. You may remember Amara from her 1 year photos I took last June. She’s grown up a ton since and this time I got to photograph her older siblings as well. It was freezing that morning, but all three of them were great sports and made my job easy.
