They met at their first day at UBC. Love a first sight? Mmmmm…. not quite….. but it didn’t take long. For Khalid & Shahana’s engagement session, we went back to where it all started: UBC. So darn gorgeous – the location… and the couple! Yes, I could shoot here for days. Surviving on Power Bars and power naps.
Counting down the days ’till your Henna Ceremony and then Wedding day!

This is Sara & Kevin…. oh, and Harley…. the cutest dog ever. And I’m not really even a dog person. Nor am I a cat person. Wait a sec, don’t you have to be one or the other? Feline or Canine? I think I’m breaking this mold. I’m not a dog person. I’m not a cat person. I’m a people person? Sure. My blog, my rules. Anyways… forgive me for another Stacey rant. I realize these are becoming more common. Maybe I need professional help. I’ll look into it. I’ll google it.
Like I said earlier, this is Sara, Kevin, and Harley. They are getting married this September (minus Harley). Forgive me for the shorter post this time around. I’m pretty sure it’s not legal to be working on vacation. Hmmmm…. I’ll google that too.

He says he’s “not photogenic”. Not true.
She has the greatest shoes ever. So true.
Dori & Mike, you are one more reason why I love my job. Photographing you is as easy as sipping wine…. mmmmm…. red wine… (sorry – pregnant woman remembering everything I’m not allowed to do!).

I met Tamara when we were thirteen. On Wednesday nights, our Church had Clubs… honestly, I don’t at all remember what we did there, but I do remember that there was the “cool kids”… and then there was me and Tamara. I realize this shocks most of my readers. The reality is, you have to be a loser at some point in your life. Some people are cool in their teen years… and not so cool in their adult years. I chose to get it over with when I was young. Well… maybe it chose me. Either way, the “leftovers” had no options… we may as well be friends. It beats talking to the wall. As we grew older, two great things happened: we got cooler (obviously) and we grew closer. I’m not sure we ever did the BFF necklaces, but we may as well have.
Since then, Tams has run off to Ottawa and met a boy. This is Dave. He’s pretty great. And let’s be real – they look pretty good together. Last Friday, on HIS birthday, he asked for her hand. She is a pretty fantastic present.
I forgot to ask him if he was ever a loser…. I hope so.
