Jayme & Krista just had their second babe, another adorable boy, Ayden. I’m always amazed at how naturally babies join families. A perfect fit. Every time.
Krista, congratulations on another boy. On your way to being a soccer mom… or I guess in your case, a lacrosse mom.

My Grandma is my hero.

My 81 year old Grandma jumped out of an airplane today. Not an everyday occurrence. At least, not in my life! She, along with 8 others, were sponsored by friends and family to have a “leap of faith” to raise money for Cyrus Centre. My Grandma raised $2,565! Go, Grandma, Go! Yes – she’s pretty much amazing.
Notice who’s behind her? Mayor George Peary jumped for Cyrus as well!

2 of my 3 loves: Harris & Joe. My other love is drinking Grape pop… no, pouring Grape pop all over her shirt. Where she found it… I’m still not sure. Guess that’s what happens when Mommy is picture taking.

Birth of Canaan

Let me be honest for a minute (it’s my blog… so I have that option. And you have the option to skip over it!). When I asked very pregnant Christy, if she wanted me to take photos of her delivery…. I’m not sure I really knew what I was getting myself into. Don’t get me wrong, I’m so so SO glad I did it… but I had no idea how intense it could get. Poor Christy had been laboring for 2 days before I got the call. The real call. The “my waters broke” call. The “get here now-ish” call. I’d had my phone near my bed for the past week, so I was ecstatic to finally be on my way to the hospital.
The babe was posterior. Not fun. Christy hadn’t slept in 2 days. Not fun. Babes heart rate dropped dangerously low. Not fun. The room was highly charged. How could it not be.
Such a fine line for a photographer to walk. To be sensitive to the situation, while still getting the shots required of them.
The doctors and nurses were amazing. Derek was fabulous. And Christy was a rockstar.
Baby Canaan came at 11:25am on June 15th.
